The Journal of Hydraulics and Water Science is a specialized branch of the former “Journal of Agricultural Science” of the University of Tabriz which was publishing since 1989 with renewed permission (number 918/25). With the separation of the “Agricultural Science” to specialized Journals in 2009, one with the title “Journal of Water and Soil Science”, was operated as a quarterly publication. Based on the approval of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology with the separation of the "Journal of Water and Soil Science”, the publication permit for the “Journal of Hydraulics and Water Science” was finalized in September 1403 (license No. 240049). With the efforts of the stakeholders, the “Journal of Hydraulics and Water Science” is published quarterly, i.e., every three months, with the same privileges of the “Journal of Water and Soil Science” and in continuation of it. Specialized articles are received online at the address http://hws.tabrizu.ac.ir and are published after the review process. This journal is indexed in the Islamic World Science Citation Institute (ISC), the Scientific Information Database (SID) of the Academic Center for Education, Culture, and Research, the Iranian Magazines Database (MAGIRAN), and Abstract Publication (CAB-Int.). This Journal uses extensive English abstracts. The editorial board hopes that these measures will provide a favorable environment for accelerating the acceptance and publication of scientific research articles by respected professors, researchers, and students. We appreciate any comments and suggestions to improve the academic level of the journal.
